Swami Padmanabha is a monk, author, and spiritual mentor whose life is dedicated to the sacred art of relationship — with the self, with others, with the world and with the Divine. Rooted in the bhakti tradition of the Gaudiya lineage, he brings radical personalism into living practice — not as an abstract ideal, but as a path revealed through relationship, calling us not to escape the world but to engage with it more deeply — with vulnerability, integrity, courage, and sacred longing: our humanity in the context of our spirituality and our spirituality in the context of humanity.
Whether through his writings, intimate conversations, or dynamic teachings, he guides others not toward rigid answers, but toward the living questions that awaken us to our truest belonging.
This is not only a path of continual arrival, but of continual becoming — together.
Follow Swami Padmanabha on an unexpected new chapter of his journey: becoming a university student for the first time in his life.
Born in Argentina and now in his mid-forties, Swami has spent nearly his entire adult life immersed in monastic life. Now, he finds himself entering Harvard Divinity School and experiencing university from the inside for the very first time—encountering new academic rhythms, religious pluralism, diverse perspectives, and a community of people whose backgrounds and experiences are very different from his own.
The journey brings excitement and gratitude, but also moments of disorientation, vulnerability, and the challenge of stepping beyond familiar ground. Through weekly reflections, Swami shares what he is discovering as he navigates this new terrain—not simply as a monk studying at Harvard, but as a lifelong student encountering himself, others, and the world in new ways.
